Music and Family

The person I decided to interview was my dad and I thought the question that was on canvas were good questions to allow me and my dad not only discover her past but also has a connection as well.   What is your first memory of music? His first experience is when my grandpa was in a band and practice and that's where he learned how to play the drums with a group of his friends as well from his elementary  school. How did music impact your childhood? Being engaged with his father music group made in want to engage more with music and his neighbor played drums which he spent his free time indulging in the art every chance he had a opportunity. How did music impact the culture and society around you when you were growing up? As they were older on the weekend, they would set up gatherings in their backyard and around the city dancing having a great time while also focusing on playing music and trying to get notice.  M y first big blog the genre of music that I chose will be talking about is the Hip Hop/Rap industry. Hip Hop was created back in the 1970s born in New York by Bronx. It was organically influenced by African American dancing and was becoming very popular all over the United States. Hip hop definition from the US is that its "a style of popular music of US black and Hispanic origin, featuring rap with an electronic backing". Nowadays hip-hop has another name called rap and now hip hop has a lot more aggressive words being said like violence, sex, drugs, and profanity. But this is the point of hip hop, it is supposed to make you feel cool and confident with the energy and adrenaline rush of pure aggression or resilience. The style rap is used in is very unique I think it's just a young adult's type of music, I'm sure everyone likes hip hop because it's just naturally in our blood from our ancestors growing and being so engaged in the music since I can remember....
